It was bento - lunch box class with guests from US, UK and Japan today.
It seems so easy to make onigiri - rice ball when you see someone making it but actually it is one of the most difficult ones. You need to know how to form your hands, how much salt to put on your palm and how much pressure you should give to make perfect triangle onigiri with perfect density. So we practiced using a fake onigiri (sponge cut in triangle) before we get to the actual onigiri. And the result ? Some are a little small and some are a little chubby but we all managed it !
