I had a class with 3 guests from Okinawa, Japan (repeat guest ! Thank you !) and Canada and we cooked tempura together.
It was going all well until one thing happened. Due to my short explanation, one of the guests cut the carrot for tempura in a wrong way, a lot thinner and smaller than it should be and it was the last carrot I had so we couldn't redo. Oops ! But after all, it turned out all right. We made carrot kakiage instead of carrot tempura. Kakiage is a kind of tempura, small bits of veggies and seafood combined and fried together. And you know what ? I liked the carrot kakiage better than carrot tempura ! What a lucky hit !
Here is a short movie of the class today to share the joyful moment. Enjoy !
Thank you so much for joining the class today. If you have any question about the dishes we made today, please ask away :)
